Downtown Toko Restaurant, Garden & Lounge, located at Vida Downtown Dubai, as part of the Dubai Food Festival presents the ultimate culinary experience designed to educate, inspire and delight. The space, acts as a hub for foodies to experience the finest in Asian cuisine in a social and relaxed environment.
In celebration of Dubai Food festival, Downtown Toko will be guiding guests on a culinary journey that begins at the bar, where participants will unleash their creative bar talents at some of Toko’s Signature cocktails and compare them head to head against all time classics including The Pisco Sour versus the Toko Hachi, The Margarita versus the Mercado and the Classic Negroni versus the Ichigo-Ichie. Invited to step behind the bar, guests will be expertly instructed by Toko’s team of knowledgeable bar tenders to create some inspirational concoctions of their own and understand the complex mixology behind each of the combinations.
Moving next to the Sushi Counter guests will be immersed in the culture and history of the infamous cuisine as expert chefs demonstrate the skills, knowledge and care needed to create delicious sushi. Guests will learn how to make traditional favourites such as the Salmon Nigiri and Red Snapper Sashimi, ensuring a focus on presentation, quality and guided under the expert tutelage of the Executive Sushi Chef, diners will have the opportunity to master the art of this traditional and exquisite delicacy for themselves as well as sample the results. Ending the class with some modern day favourites such as the California Roll and Zen Roll, putting personalized spins on all time classics.
